Short Description/ Purpose of Job
SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL (SCI), a non-profit humanitarian organization with its focus on child welfare, is recruiting candidates for the position below:
Coordinator – MEAL – Alto-Molócuè – ZB SC 08/23 –
The Coordinator – MEAL will be responsible for overseeing the MEAL system of the Okokhelamo ni Solha project under the supervision of the MEAL leader. You will work closely with the learning and knowledge management team, project team and partner project teams to design and lead a robust MEAL system. The aim of the MEAL system is to ensure harmonised and aligned data collection and monitoring to inform decision-making, accountability, reporting and learning in a timely and strategic manner. It will also be responsible for ensuring that project data on outcomes and progress indicators are collected, analysed and synthesised in an accurate and timely manner for the target communities in the related districts ( Alto Molocue and Mulevale)

Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Sociology or Development Studies preferably with post graduate training in M&E or project planning and management.
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Minimum 3 years work experience in monitoring and evaluation (preferably in FSL or nutrition related programmes in an international NGO).
- Experience in collecting data using quantitative and qualitative methods.
Experience in interacting and interviewing community members and leaders and/or facilitating focus group discussions (especially with beneficiaries including children). - Understanding of basic standards for ensuring data quality.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English.
- Knowledge of data analysis principles and software (ideally SPSS, STATA, R, ArcGIS, NVivo, and/or ATLAS.ti).
Familiarity with mobile data collection platforms (such as Kobo Collect, ODK, SurveyCTO, etc). - Experience with monitoring and evaluation techniques to assess the quality and effectiveness of programme strategies for programme learning
- Willingness to travel frequently.
Desirable
- Fluency in English and Elomue and Senna languages.
- Previous work experience in Zambezia.
