Short Description/ Purpose of Job

The purpose of this role is to implement and manage the Company´s sponsorship strategy and events The incumbent will manage the sponsorship and events plan providing the business with the relevant value adding support, including tools and techniques when attending events and sponsoring stakeholders’ programes.

Recruitment Description/ Key Accountabilities

Plan and implement all sponsorships in line with the Company´s strategy and priorities

Draft all sponsorships business cases and monitor governance controls, including the ABAC policy requirements as well as the risk for the sponsorships implementation

Manage the sponsorship contracts and track all sponsorships from proposal to signed agreements, as well as ensure all due diligences and payment terms are met

Support and manage the brand proposition and presence at all events and sponsored activities

Provide pre-events strategy or plan and post events reports containing metrics of all sponsored events or initiatives

Ensure profiling of the outcomes of events and sponsorships, in alignment with the communication and branding specialist

Own and manage the sponsorship plan including but not limited to budgeting, prospection, presentations, scheduling of and attending meetings and walkthroughs with potential beneficiaries

Manage suppliers and coordinate key deliverables, always considering best value for money

Execute the plan of internal and external events, seeking solutions that meet the strategic alignment, with the group culture and the target audience                                                            

Customer and relationship results: 

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including customers suppliers, and specialist bodies and participating in expert networks

Liaise with compliance team in all matters related to events and sponsorship governance

Manage the relationship with event planning suppliers and other relevant stakeholders

Maintaining effective and professional communication with colleagues, customers/clients and being a reliable source of reference on best practices in the field of expertise

Events solutions, best practices and research reports being shared among stakeholders

Quality results:

Monitoring and evaluating the implemented sponsorships and events against set objectives, standards, cost allocation, timeframes and clients expectations

Compiling status reports on the progress and performance of the solutions against set objectives, cost effectiveness, timeframes, standards and expectations of clients and other relevant stakeholders.

Cost effectiveness:

Participating in budget formulation and tracking of the expenditure to ensure cost and benefit balance in the implementation of sponsorships and events.

Innovation and improvement results:

Develop and implement strategic events sponsorships plan

Implement strategic events delivery mode

Tracking of annual events and sponsorship

Deliver quarterly sponsorship report, with outcomes metrics

Continuous improvement:

Working in teams and sharing expertise and knowledge with colleagues

Measure, enable and improve sponsorship and events processes within all Gas Sourcing & Operations regions

Effective research and development, delivering events and strategic sponsorship initiatives

Generation, sharing and implementing new ideas and ways of doing work, contributing towards the body of knowledge in the way how events and sponsorships are conducted within Gas Sourcing & Operations operating unity

Formal Education

Relevant B degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication or Public Administration

Min Experience

Min 5 years relevant experience in managing events and sponsorships

Experience of events coordination and production

Experience in project management

Experience in public relations management

Experience in branding management and activations

Knowledge of governance controls

Professional English and Portuguese languages usage

Competencies

Analytics: The systematic computational analysis of data or quality statistics

Compliance: Understanding the rules, regulations, sanctions and other statutory requirements, guidelines and instructions relating to sponsorship governance and risk management practices.

Data Management: Knowledgeable of the theory, purpose, architecture and design of the management, administration and relationships of the organization’s data.

Problem Solving: Is a step-by-step process of defining a problem, searching for information, and testing a series of solutions until the problem is solved. In involves critical thinking, analysis and persistence.
