Job description

• Ensure SLIMS implementation
• Conduct internal (SLIMS) audits based on ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001/14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Register and assist in the execution of corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct SLIMS Familiarization and Shore training
• Assist in developing and improving work instructions, procedures, process flows and standard operating procedures
• Monitor SLIMS Crew training program/E-learning
• Deliver SHEQ related training on board vessels
• Identify and recommend areas of improvement
• Promote safe practices through campaigns
• Provide monthly input for SHEQ statistics

You will be interacting with:

• Internally – Vessel Crew, Contract Managers & TSI’s
• Externally – Class Societies and Clients as and when required

Qualifications

• Completed higher professional education
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in SHEQ.
• Experience in maritime industry is an advantage.
• Conversant with applicable international standards in the (maritime) industry e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISM, ISPS, MLC and OVMSA
• Able to writereports.
• Good communicator to all levels in the organisatio:management, shore personnel and crew
• This is a full-time position (32 to 40 hours) and we are looking for candidates residing in Pemba.
