VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL (SCI), a humanitarian non-profit organization with its focus on child welfare, is recruiting candidates for the position below:
Regional Manager – Mocuba – ZA – SC 02/23 – Zambezia
The Manager – Mocuba will lead all programmatic operations of the Okhokelamo ni Solha project in the above mentioned region, including good coordination with programmatic area leaders and implementing partners and local government, in order to achieve the project goals and objectives. SCI and its partners are implementing this five-year Food Security and Resilience Activity (Okhokelamo ni Solha) project in Mozambique, which aims to improve the nutritional outcomes of children under 2 years of age in six districts in Zambezia.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Nutrition or related areas.
- Or a degree in public health, nutrition, business management and administration;
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Over 5 years of experience in project management in international NGOs and managing complex public health projects.
- Excellent interpersonal/organizational skills and written/verbal communication in Portuguese and English.
- Proven ability to compile high quality reports
- Deep understanding of gender concepts and their impact related to health and
- Excellent activity planning skills, including monthly, quarterly and annual PID development.
- Strong teamwork skills: managing, leading and motivating groups in planning and working in an integrated manner and with a high level of dedication to the target groups.
- High sense of responsibility and dedication to the task.
- High sense of discretion in dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to build relationships quickly with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
