Job Description:
- Conduct context analysis, including needs assessment for gender analysis and child protection in affected communities and facilitate the training of local child protection committees.
- Contribute to the development and ensure the operationalisation of the Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Incident Preparedness Plan.
- Develop, implement and evaluate plans and programmes for the protection of children and gender in disaster-related contexts.
- Disseminate the legal framework on gender and Child Protection policies and the work of Local Disaster Management Committees (LDMCs).
- Develop and document training packages and capacity-building processes on PSEA, mainstreaming GBV and Child Protection and transformative programming in protection.
- Ensure that GBV and Child Protection incidents are dealt with within the timeframes and procedures established by the WVI.
- Ensure that WV Mozambique’s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and its respective protocols are observed, providing guidance at provincial and district level.
- The child protection referral system and service institutions are operational, such as the Police and particularly the Office for Women and Children Victims of Violence.
