Job Description:

• Carrying out the technical assessment of the sites and preparing the teams for the start of construction work and actively participating in the planning processes related to the deployment of infrastructure activities.
• Preparing, together with local leaders, the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) defining the forms of community collaboration and participation and the on-the-job training of local artisans
• Preparing the plan/calendar for carrying out activities and reviewing and adjusting the budget planning in line with local realities
• Ensure that logistical needs are met, taking into account any technical, environmental, social constraints and specific local factors, and actively participate in creating a culture of learning and improvement within the team and beneficiary communities
• Provide ongoing guidance, technical support and supervision to technical supervisors to ensure high standards of safety and quality of workmanship.
• Effectively manage the project’s budget, assets and human resources, identify and anticipate project risks and come up with creative solutions
• Facilitate a working environment in which mutual trust, respect and affection prevail among employees in order to encourage effective teamwork in which team members support each other
• Communicate WV’s approaches to government and other stakeholders so that they become partners with WV rather than seeing it as a donor.
