Short Description/ Purpose of Job
Save the Children is currently implementing a food assistance activity for the development of a five-year project called Okhokelamo ni Solha, aimed at mobilising community participation for improved sustainable food and nutrition security and resilience among extremely poor and chronically vulnerable households and communities in Zambezia.
The Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for the general counting of Receipts, random weighing of bags, counting during despatches, physical inventory in the Mocuba warehouse following USAID Title II regulations.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the job holder is expected to work outside the normal job profile and may vary working hours accordingly.

Qualifications
- The potential candidate must have a minimum of a 12th grade education with some basic warehouse training and proven relevant experience.
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a related field, preferably with an NGO working in warehouse management with a storage capacity of 2000MT;
- Ability to supervise loaders to offload trucks during port receipts in order to avoid duplication costs;
- Good command of oral and written maths is a must;
- This position requires a mature, self-taught candidate with dedication and the ability to work with little or no supervision;
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work flexible hours in the event of major emergencies;
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and linguistic difficulties;
- Able to work long hours while receiving goods;
