Major roles and responsibilities

• Ensure verification and support to the preparation of budgetary planning and monitoring to allow for qualitative budget management.
• Ensure follow-up of treasury operations to ensure that suppliers/beneficiaries/etc. are paid correctly and in due time.
• Control the reporting to ensure expenditure follows the Grant Agreements.
• Manage the questions regarding fiscal and social domains to ensure complete and qualitative information on these matters.
• Analyse fiduciary risks, follow up the internal control and audit action plans to put the risks in the spotlight and minimise the impact.
• Lead the team of which one is the hierarchical supervisor to have qualified and motivated staff.
• Capacity development of partner entities to contribute to the improvement of their organisation, processes and systems and of their staff’s competences.

Your profile

Required qualifications

• Masters’s degree in management, Finance or Accounting or similar sector.

Required experience 

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in similar position.
• Team management.
• Capacity development and training.
• Budget management and financial analysis.
• Financial control and audit. 

Required skills and knowledge

• Advanced mastery of Excel and Word, use of financial software is an asset.
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion in a multicultural environment.
• Proficient in Portuguese and English.
• Ability to work in an international, multi-stakeholder environment, maintain effective and cooperative relations with national authorities as well as donors.
• Be of proven moral integrity.
• Possess strong analytical and assessment skills.
• Good communication skills (also including written)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Service and solution oriented.
• Able to work independently.
• Reliable.
• Availability for frequent travel primarily to Nampula province.
