Short Description/ Purpose of Job

The Opportunity

  • Work closely with Project Coordinators and other staff and partners to ensure that activities are implemented in a prioritised manner, in line with work plans developed in Accelerated Learning Programmes (ALP);
  • Provide updates on the ALP situation in the affected areas, highlighting issues related to education, safeguarding and protection;
  • Work with the community on awareness-raising activities and ensure that all beneficiaries have access to ALP centres;
  • In collaboration with community leaders, support the identification of children to be part of the ALP Centres and ensure that everyone complies with the code of conduct, policies and child protection;
  • Mobilise communities and organise inclusive community education campaigns;
  • Ensure good communication, coordination and collaboration between project teams and with local government and community leaders.

Qualifications and Skills


About You

Mid-level Psychopedagogy degree with experience in Education and related fields (Able to mobilise communities, confident in speaking to people both in groups and individually and excellent listening skills;
Or:

University degree in related field and experience in education projects;
Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection and equality for girls and demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity;
Good knowledge of the context in the province and the districts where you are applying in general;
Good command of Portuguese, both verbal and written, as well as the local languages spoken in the places where you are applying.

Reports to: Project Coordinator

Level: 12 (Salary range from 544,200MT to 612,225.72MT gross per annum) Plan reserves the right to pay according to internal procedures.
