Job Title: Field Based Account Manager

Short Description/ Purpose of Job

To deliver on volumes, proceeds and profitability results in B2B (F&B, Lubricants and LPG) for the portfolio of customers in sectors including Construction, Mining, Hotels, Agricultural, Transport, and Power whilst adopting defend and grow strategy.

Recruitment Description/ Key Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities:

Sales

  • To manage the B2B business in the selected channels to achieve bottom line results of the P&L such as proceeds, C3, and volumes;
  • To drive business growth with quality and accurate account plans for all gold and silver customers;
  • To use the SPANCOP and through Sales First to win customers for Fuels, LPG and Lubes;
  • To build good rapport & maintain good customer relationship with all key customers;
  • Understand the activity, business and needs of customers, provide sound information and advice on products and services, and to sell and negotiate win-win solutions with customers;
  • To comply fully with the Vivo Energy standard offer book as per the customer promise initiative;
  • To defend business from competition by renewing all major customer contracts;
  • To comply with global credit policy and manage trade debtors effectively through good debt management and promoting customers adopting new payment trends, including electronic fund transfers and internet banking;
  • To engender and foster goodwill both within and outside the company;
  • Implement policies and procedures and ensure that the relevant controls are in place;
  • Increase the value for existing customers through cross, range and up selling;
  • Develop, update, maintain, and communicate the Account Plan;
  • Implement a Brand Visibility for B2C – Billboards on main sales area;
  • Working with central team to identify and implement tailored CVP applicable for LNG projects in northern region;
  • Establish a robust B2B customer base with focus on CRT, Industry.

Marketing

  • In conjunction with marketing develop and implement key CVP projects, including fuel management system, HFO Plus, innovative LPG applications, energy savings and efficiency surveys at customers and conduct sector seminars on technical and health and safety aspects;
  • Implement and monitor the MLT and TLT initiatives.

Supply Chain

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for effective S&OP process.

Technical

  • To provide advice and support to customers on technical matters relating to lubes, fuels and LPG applications;
  • To advise customers on the technical design of LPG and fuel installations;
  • To carry preliminary site risk assessments for new installations for fuels and LPG bulk.

HSSE

  • To deliver on HSSE plan, close GEMS action points, RAP items from past audits, conduct safety audits, toolbox meetings, identify and report PI’s.

Key Challenges:

  • To tap business opportunities and grow the business;
  • To deviate customer price led requirement to value led approach by implementation of key CVPs;
  • To ensure timely delivery of promises to customers by managing all internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory and Master’s is an advantage;
  • Proficiency in Portuguese is mandatory and English is an advantage;
  • Strong knowledge of the northern region of Mozambique including Quelimane;
  • Appropriate degree in Sales & Marketing or related field or any Engineering background;
  • Sales experience with good negotiation and sales technique;
  • Business and commercial acumen;
