Qualifications and Skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the staff of the Finance and Operations Department to achieve effective performance and service delivery.
• Manage and coordinate the analysis of internal controls and utilise audit results to enhance the internal control framework.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve financial processes and systems.
• Lead the financial planning process for Light for the World; Mozambique Office.
• Prepare and oversee audits, ensuring compliance with legal and donor requirements.
• Conduct the preparation of monthly financial reports, including reconciliations, quarterly and annual donor reports, and special financial reports.
• Supervise the operations of the Mozambique Office:
  • Ensure compliance with Human Resources laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7 years of proven experience in financial and operational management.
• Strong knowledge of financial processes, systems, and audit procedures.
• 5 years of proven experience in collaborative leadership and problem-solving.
• Budgeting and budget analysis skills, as well as financial reporting capabilities.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
• Experience working in NGOs is an advantage.
• Mozambican nationality.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is an advantage.
• Availability to travel within and outside the country.
• Immediate availability.
