World Vision is recruiting a Health Trainer to be based in Namarrói, Mozambique.

 

Key Responsibilities:

District Trainer

Responsible for the proper selection, training and operation of Health Committees and Primary School Teachers in the community mobilization activities for malaria prevention, as well as provide technical support to the committees and schools in the system of monitoring activities in accordance with the project recommendations and produce and submit monthly reports of activities in order to facilitate reporting at the provincial level, including liaison with the Elementary Multipurpose Agents (EPAs) and Health Units (USs). The District Trainer should also work closely with Health Partners in the framework of the Universal Distribution Rosin Net Campaigns;

Experience in training/training and supervising adults through participatory methods; Experience in PowerPoint presentation; Experience in developing and maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships and advocacy and promoting child welfare; Self-motivated multicultural enthusiast and able to travel up to 95% of the time on community activities; Ability to use own initiative in adopting and prioritising activities; and Devout Christian and able to actively participate in Bible studies and weekly devotions;

A minimum of secondary education in health, education and/or community development; motorbike valid driving licence;

Proven communication and teaching skills are desired. At least 2 years experience in community work and teaching activities is preferred;

95% travel within the district;

95% travel within the district; Suitable for community visits and certified motorbike driving;

Able to travel within the district;
Able to make community visits and drive certified motorbikes;
Portuguese and local languages of the district for which you are applying.
