Short Description/ Purpose of Job
SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL (SCI), a non-profit humanitarian organization with its focus on child welfare, is recruiting candidates for the position below:
Assistant – Human Resources – MP – SC 04/23 – Maputo
The Assistant – Human Resources will provide support in Human Resources operational activities with main focus on trainings and trainings processes, inductions, performance appraisals, physical and electronic documents filing processes, correspondences and other related activities and functions. Under the guidance of the Human Resources and Administration Coordinator you will also assist in the various human resources administrative processes.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the function holder will be expected to work outside the normal job profile and may vary working hours accordingly.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related course in a relevant field.
Experience and Skills
Essential
- At least two years’ work experience in a similar role in an NGO environment;
Basic knowledge and understanding in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook);
High level of integrity / confidentiality and ability to work as part of a professional team; - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
Excellent interpersonal, communication, coordination and reporting skills; - Proven ability to handle challenging workloads;
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
- Motivated, has a can-do attitude;
- Good communication skills in English;
Cross-cultural experience and ability to work well in a multicultural environment with understanding and sensitivity; - Knowledge of Mozambican labour laws and employment law;
- Commitment to meet the requirements of Save the Children’s
- Safeguarding Policy and PSEA and other relevant SCI policies.
