Short Description/ Purpose of the Job
The LMMS/CTS FAIRO is responsible for leading the Information Technology, field-based operations related to Last Mile Mobile Solutions technology and the Commodity Tracking System. This includes providing technical support to the commodity distribution field team during field registrations/distributions, as well as running the LMMS web application to help the team set up new distribution projects, execute commodity shipments using LMMS/CTS, and assist in the consolidation and generation of LMMS/CTS reports including shipment and loss claim records and loss files. This position will also require delivering systems maintenance, testing new software development for field deployment, requesting customer user requirements and assisting with new/updated system installations.

- Understanding of the Windows Mobile Platform.
- Prior exposure to mobile hardware technologies (Intermec or similar products, including Motorola/Symbol)
- Comfortable learning new software systems and performing rudimentary system upgrades, including compiling new software versions.
- Experience with master card
Qualifications- Education, knowledge and experience
- The holder of this position must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Technology and Information or any other related course from a recognized university;
- Solid experience in Windows Operating System – XP in particular;
- Comfortable in invoking, stopping or restarting System Services, installing and uninstalling software; Creating user groups and configuring user privileges;
- Solid networking skills – able to configure, secure and administer wireless peer-to-peer ad-hoc networks;
- Ability to isolate and troubleshoot network connectivity according to and by running IP configuration tools, resetting wireless connections;
- Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems – exposure to MySQL highly desirable, including the use of database management tools (such as MySQL Query Browser and Administrator).
- Previous experience in Food Service / accounting is highly desirable.
