JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Ensures adherence to NRC policies, manuals, handbooks and guidelines in general and in the area of information management in particular.
  2. Implements the monitoring and evaluation functions delegated to him/her in accordance with the action plan.
  3. Supports preparation of reports on the progress of M&E activities as requested by the supervisor or management.
  4. Ensures proper filing of documents according to NRC policies.
  5. Encourages and makes suggestions for improvement of the M&E functions.
  6. Supports the M&E Officer in supporting the program staff in the planning and execution of M&E, including data collection methodology and tools, data management and use, or if needed, direct management of these activities
  7. Promotes accountability to beneficiaries

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide technical support to program teams and partners who can support M&E activities in hard-to-reach areas
  2. Support data collection during field activities using NRC tools and methodologies
  3. Support the team in applying and using NRC tools and processes for M&E in accordance with NRC standards and best practices
  4. Support processes to ensure that data collected by program and M&E staff is of sufficient quality to inform decision making
  5. Contribute to the writing of M&E reports according to NRC standards
  6. Proactively support the identification of gaps in M&E-related activities in the capacity of program
  7. Support information management and quality, including GORS/PowerBI, whose dashboards will be shared monthly, quarterly and annually
  8. Support the feedback and complaint mechanisms as required and collaborate with M&E technical assistant (AAP – Accountability to Affected Population)

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience from working as an Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context
  2.  Knowledge and experience within Monitoring and Evaluation
  3. Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  4. Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  5. Basic knowledge of English
  6. University degree in relevant field (statistics, etc.)
  7. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  8. Excellent user knowledge of Kobo Collect
  9. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Cabo Delgado’s Northern Districts, especially Mueda
  10. Integrity, reliability and ability to respect confidentiality
