Short Description/ Purpose of Job

BURN is looking for an MRV Project Administrator to Provide specialized administrative and financial support to the MRV department to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  • Process requests for payments ensuring all supporting documentation and signatures according to established approval standards are obtained before payment is made.
  • Following up on timely disbursements of funding to implementing partners as per contract/agreements and control utilization against budget, ensuring that all documentation is prepared and signed as proof of disbursement, maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems, and supporting re-organizing the filing system as needed.
  • Provide administrative and logistical planning support to the MRV team and partners regarding travel, accommodation, training rooms, catering and expense claims.
  • Monitor the use of existing resources such as assets/inventory items. Provide administrative support with the collection and filling of stakeholder documentation (ID, NUIT).


Skills and Experience:
 

  • University degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with two (2) years of relevant professional experience, preferably in administrative support or similar roles.
  • Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with four (4) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with administrative and financial management, budget monitoring, cash management and internal control procedures.
  • At least 2-4 years of professional experience in administrative, financial and logistics assistance of a public or private institution.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and PowerPoint, Good knowledge of information technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and SharePoint.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Good interpersonal skills ensuring a smooth collaboration with other colleagues in a highly multicultural environment.
  • Strong knowledge of English & and Portuguese, speaking and writing.
  • Availability to travel.
