To perform specialized and/or standardized policy and programme-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.

Qualifications and Skills

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1. Act as main coordinator at the field level for emergency response activities. 
2. Provide guidance, on-the-job training, technical and strategic guidance to all staff involved in the implementation of the activities, including Program assistances from the support services as well as to field monitors, partners and district Government staff at provincial level for the planning and implementation of activities and identifying opportunities of areas to complement and sustainability of the emergence operation interventions. 
3. Act as focal point for coordination and collaboration with Government and NGO cooperating partners, clarifying programme objectives, methodology and timeframe and ensure clear and continuous communication with partners on programme performance. 
4. Develop detailed schedule of activities indicating timeframes and clear roles and responsibilities. 
5. Prepare detailed budgets for field office required funds. 
6. Produce weekly progress reports on all activities. 
7. Ensure integration of protection and gender mainstreaming into WFP programming and operation. 
8. Support, in collaboration with the Monitoring Focal Point and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Unit, the consolidation of outputs monitoring reports, including but not limited to number beneficiaries reached with gender/age breakdown and amounts transferred. 
9. Support ensuring that complain mechanisms are operational and all complains are proper recorded, followed up, investigate, measures taken to correct the irregularities and closed. 
10. Support to organize monthly meetings with the district and provincial governments to review the implementation activities.  

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: University degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management or Project Management, Social Sciences, or other relevant functional area.
Experience:  At least six (6) years or more of postgraduate professional experience in a relevant field of work, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development, with working knowledge on Cash Based Transfers modality and Social Protection.
Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and English. Knowledge of local languages is highly desirable.

• Leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate.
• In-depth understanding of WFP program, objectives and strategic priorities.
• Willingness to travel extensively to the field.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
