• Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in management, social policy, public policy, economics, development studies or a related area. 
• A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree. 

• Minimum 5 years (with master’s degree) or 7 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible relevant experience at the national or international level in project management and in providing financial management advisory services. 

Required  skills:

• Relevant years of experience working with donors;
• Extensive experience in project development and management is required;
• Solid experience working with government and development partners in the field on disaster risk reduction and social cohesion is required.

Desired skills:

• Excellent knowledge of and resilience building experience in Africa, including conflict-sensitivity, human rights, rights of children, youth and women, is an asset;
• Proven experience in development programming, including good understanding of UN programming modalities and rules and regulations, is preferred;
• Strong experience working on disaster risk reduction and resilience building including the domestication of the Sendai Framework at the regional, is preferred;
• Working experience with KOICA would be an asset;
• Experience working within UN agencies and intergovernmental organizations and field experience is an asset;
• Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based Management systems.
