Duties 
Conduct mapping of protection needs in the selected communities;
Identify vulnerable cases and follow up with local authorities;
Ensure follow-up of referred cases and documentation of the process;
Contribute to the creation/strengthening of the community-based protection and psychosocial support system;
Planning and control of the activities to be implemented;
Periodic preparation of implementation reports, monitoring and evaluation of activities;
Coordination and close collaboration with the rest of AVSI’s projects and teams and its partners.

Requirements
Mozambican nationality;
Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree in Education Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, International Development Cooperation Studies or related areas, obtained in a reputable teaching institution;
Minimum two (2) years of experience in Education, Psychosocial Support, Protection programmes in development and emergency contexts for NGOs;
Experience in social work, community development and in implementing psychosocial support programmes;
Training and capacity building skills, ability to deliver formal, structured and informal trainings;
Ability and experience to effectively provide training in PSS, PFA, identification and referral, etc.;
Experience in community facilitation and mobilization, including a good understanding of community politics and traditional networks;
Ability to effectively articulate and coordinate with government, local and international NGOs, and other stakeholders;
Effective and thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook packages;
Ability to work autonomously and proactively;
Ability and willingness to travel regularly to the field;
Good organisation and planning skills, and flexibility;
High degree of responsibility, initiative and ability to work under pressure;
Attention to detail and meeting deadlines;
Team spirit, with good relationship and communication skills;
Identification with AVSI’s methodological principles and values;
Honesty;
Immediate availability.
