Senior Process Safety Engineer
CORAL FLNG, SA. is a special purpose entity formed to develop the operation of the floating unit CORAL SUL FLNG, is recruiting a Senior Process Safety Engineer.
The Senior Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the safety management procedure, recommended on loss prevention engineering issues.
This position coordinates Process Safety Management and Asset Integrity Management efforts on board FLNG including audits and PHAs and PSM. Provides Technical Support to help assess risks and resolve Process Safety issues in a cost-effective manner including recommendations for PHAs, audits and incident investigations.
This role is to serve the PHA by facilitating PHA activities, developing relevant procedures, leading/participating in incident investigations and delivering relevant training and interacting with operations and maintenance.
Main responsibilities:
OPERATIONAL PHASE
Monitor and report process safety performance KPIs;
Maintain Records of SECE risk assessments and update the Cumulative Risk Barrier model regularly;
MOC processes: analyse risks associated with changes and advise on risk tolerability in accordance with the company’s risk management procedure.
Contribute to the design of engineering solutions by supporting the development of detailed design specifications.
Prepare deliverables to meet company requirements, considering and including:
Quoting equipment, fire zones and layout impact specifications;
Active and Passive Fire Protection;
Fire Fighting Arrangements;
Fire and Gas Detection Mapping Layouts;
Hazardous Area Classification Layouts;
Engineering Studies Reports (Smoke and Gas Dispersion Analysis, Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis, Cryogenic Risk Analysis, etc.)
PHA Studies and Reports (HZIDS, HAZOPS, SILs, ect.);
QRA Report
Specification of life cycle safety requirements SIS and IEC 61511;
ESD and BD system design and specifications;
Survivability analysis and flare depressurization and radiation;
Emergency Response Planning;
Ensure that process safety information and documents are fully updated and readily available;
Defining technical safety aspects. For procurement of equipment and services. Including preparation of requisitions, evaluation of technical proposals. Review of supplier data. Development of scope of work;
Be able to participate. Lead and o. Do mimic engineering study. If required for any change management;
Verify technical integrity and correctness of work carried out by contractors;
Ensure Performance Standards of safety and environmentally critical elements are met through audit inspections and follow up testing;
Be proficient with international codes and standards. Industry best practices and safety regulations;
Be proficient in demonstrating ALARP and constructing a safety case report
Qualifications and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science in the field of safety management. Master’s degree in process safety management is preferred.
10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, and Preferably LNG at least 5 years in a senior process safety engineering position.
Strong knowledge and experience in management, HSL, Process safety. With specific experience in LNG.
Skills required:
Experienced of interpreting P&IDs, cause and effect charts, single line diagram and other documents required for different PHA studies;
Technically proficient in all areas of process safety management and relevant areas of loss prevention engineering;
Experience as facilitator in PHA (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL&LOPA)
