3.4 ACCOUNTANT

3.4.1 Main responsibilities
Planning, executing and controlling all financial aspects relating to the project;
Ensuring the correct accounting of funds spent and ensuring that the accounts are always reconciled;
Drawing up periodic financial reports and carrying out the financial management of contracts;
Assist other DIEE project managers involved in construction programmes with specific tasks and help them improve overall performance.

3.4.2 Qualifications

– Diploma in Accounting (medium level) with over 7 years’ experience in accounting, 3 of which in financial management of projects financed by international financial institutions;
Advanced knowledge of tendering and evaluation according to IDB, BADEA or World Bank procedures;
– Fluency in Portuguese and knowledge of English, both written and spoken;
– Computer skills in accounting programmes, word processing and spreadsheets.
