CONTRATUZ, LDA is seeking a highly qualified professional to join its staff in order to fill the position of Customs Broker, based in the city of Beira.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Verify the compliance of clients’ Import/Export documents;
  • Classify imported/exported goods;
  • Prepare customs clearance in the Single Electronic Window (SEW) for subsequent submission;
  • Interact with the customs authority at the customs office where the declaration was submitted;
  • Follow up on the entire process related to customs clearance, port operations, until the cargo is delivered to the client;
  • Calculate Customs Duties and other Customs Charges to be paid;
  • Draft requests in accordance with the legal framework, depending on the subject, to be submitted to the relevant legal authorities;
  • Send all costs related to customs clearance to the relevant department responsible for invoicing the client;
  • Maintain up-to-date filing;
  • Strong persuasive skills and commercial tact;
  • Leadership skills and a team spirit;
  • Higher education or professional training in Customs, Logistics or related areas;
  • Hold a Professional Certificate and Customs Broker Licence;
  • Knowledge of Customs Legislation;
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the Customs Tariff;
  • More than 7 years of experience as a customs broker;
  • Excellent fluency in Portuguese and strong writing skills;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Excellent command of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the Internet;
  • Excellent skills in handling large databases, calculations, and details;
  • Ability to handle pressure, multitasking, and a demanding environment;
  • Professional integrity.
