Recruitment Description/ Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities

• Report abnormalities, damage or accidents to the supervisor or designated person, in accordance with the Organisation’s rules and procedures.
• Filling in all the information in the vehicle logbook on a daily basis and evaluating fuel consumption according to the distances travelled and submitting it to the supervisor on a monthly basis.

Requirements

• Grade 10 in the national education system;
• Have 3 years’ experience of safely transporting people and goods, including in rural contexts and in precarious road and street conditions;
• Vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption control;
• Experience of working in community development and/or emergency programmes is an advantage;
• Valid driving licence for the transport of people and goods at a public professional level; and
• Certification in defensive driving is an advantage.
