The Opportunity

• To provide driving support to the organisation, respecting standard driving regulations and obeying traffic laws on time and punctually;
• Collect and deliver correspondence of project materials and other documents to and from the country office,
• Checking and following up on the vehicle’s service and maintenance schedule and processing the request to pick up the vehicle at the end of the job;
• In collaboration with the staff responsible for fleet management, ensure that vehicles are clean and well equipped with the necessary tools;
• Provide support to Programmes in submitting and following up on government approvals of various compliance documents;
• Carry out basic logistical support for the office, such as moving goods and stock around the premises;
• Submit and follow up on various official documents according to instructions and without close supervision;
• Checking and working with the fleet coordinator to ensure that vehicle safety equipment is up to date and functional;
• Provide route mapping and guide passengers to all destinations in the city and province of Cabo Delgado.

About You

• Grade 12;
• 8 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position;
• 3 valid Driving Licences, with no history of serious accidents in the last 3 years;
• Substantial field experience in driving in Mozambique;
• Diploma/Certificate in Car Mechanics;
• Very good familiarity with the area in which the project/programme is located;
• Mechanical background is an added advantage;
• Basic working language in English is essential;
• Knowledge of local languages is desirable (Macua, Maconde, Mwuani)
