Short Description/ Purpose of Job
The driver will report directly to the project’s administrative coordinator. The driver will assist in the coordination and execution of the project’s logistics and transportation activities. The Driver’s main responsibility is to help the Program team with daily transportation to make the workflow smoother so that the whole team is more productive. The Driver will be based in Chimoio, with frequent trips to the field.

Main roles and responsibilities:
- Transporting staff to and from the office
- Ability to perform mechanical tasks is an added advantage
- Knowledge of local languages (Shona, Matewe, Chiute, Sena, Ndau) is an added advantage
- Receiving and transporting staff from the airport to the hotel/home and vice versa
- Checking the arrival and departure times of staff on the move
Checking with the project’s administrative coordinator that the traveling staff have their tickets up to date and the respective dates and times of their travel plan - Check with the project coordinator where they will be staying
- Distributing all necessary office correspondence
- Ensure that the vehicle is maintained in accordance with the rules in force at TechnoServe
- Keep the vehicle clean at all times
- Checking that the vehicle’s documentation is up to date and communicating the necessary regularization and renewals in good time
- Accurately completing all documentation relating to the itinerary of journeys made and other control devices provided for in TechnoServe’s policy
- Ensuring the correct and efficient use of the vehicle
- Carry out other tasks assigned to them
- Respect the rules set out below in the code of conduct.
Basic qualifications:
- 12th grade
Professional driving license, with 3 years’ proven experience working with NGOs - Fluent in Portuguese, fluency in local languages would be an advantage
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, proactively and also as part of a team
- Demonstrated commitment to gender equality
-Knowledge of key donor compliance requirements (EKN) is an advantage
Must currently reside in the Beira corridor
