Short Description/ Purpose of Job

Position Summary:
The Health and Education Consultant will report to the Senior Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Specialist. The Consultant will oversee the Technical Intervention Design, conduct the evaluation in the field collecting qualitative and quantitative data, analysis, reporting and dissemination of the report to the stakeholders. This is a short-term position, with an estimate of 15 days level of effort during the period of July to November 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Design the evaluation methodology.
  • Train and supervise the enumerators teams.
  • Conduct data collection and data analysis.
  • Perform quality check.
  • Prepare the draft report and recommendations.
  • Prepare the findings presentation to the client.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum master’s degree in public health, education, anthropology, sociology or other social science is required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project/program management and coordination is required.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in conducting social interventions evaluation is required.
  • Experience in facilitation of diverse groups and get consensus is required.
  • Experience in USAID projects and evaluations is an asset is required.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is required. Knowledge of local language, such as Sena or Ndau, is preferred.
