Qualifications and Skills

1. Main Consultants

Essential Requirements
– Master’s Degree level or higher in social sciences related to education;
– At least 5 years’ experience in qualitative research;
– Excellent knowledge of qualitative research methods (i.e. focus group discussions, interviews) and technical issues related to collecting and analysing qualitative data (e.g. interactive ways of involving children);
– Proven skills in transcribing interviews in Portuguese and other local languages in Mozambique;
– Leadership skills and team spirit;
– Professional integrity;

2. Data Collectors

Essential Requirements
– Degree level in social sciences;
– At least 2 years’ experience in qualitative data collection in the field;
– Previous experience conducting qualitative interviews and focus group discussions is mandatory;
– Fluent in Portuguese and the local languages spoken in the communities in which they will be deployed; (Gaza, Nampula and Sofala)
– Leadership skills and team spirit;
– High professional integrity;
