Short Description/ Purpose of Job
Leads the commissioning and start-up team effort and into operations to ensure production volumes by applying expert technical knowledge and ensure maximum equipment availability through managing personnel, systems and processes
Recruitments:
- Commissioning and start-up specifically: Oversee safe execution of commissioning and start up activities by production team; Responsible for validating content of training modules; Manage and lead a commissioning production team taking overall responsibility for managing performance and team training and development; Coordinate all maintenance and plant commissioning activities; Commissioning status feedback reporting to management.
- Provide Plant Support Information
- Perform Plant Process activities
- Ensure Plant Handovers
- Ensure plant operating specifications and product quality requirements
- Ensure compliance with the company radio communications policy
- Perform plant Maintenance Supervision
- Assist and reinforce team regarding inspection of plant and equipment
- Issue Permit to Work
- Ensure Equipment safe-making and handover to maintenance
- Follow up on equipment breakdown
- Prepare and issue Daily Reports
- Perform Plant Alarm settings
- Understand Plant Trip settings
- Execute Plant Distributed Control System (DCS) Functions
- Perform Plant Emergency Shutdown (ESD) Controls functions

- Actively participate in Maintenance planning and scheduling;

- Formal Education: NQF Level 4 Occupational/ Vocational in Industrial Chemical Process Operations Technical School diploma in chemical industry
- Min Experience: 5+ years in production or processing in Chemical Industry/extractive/mining/metallurgy or related fields (with 2+ years of leadership experience)
