LIGHT FOR THE WORLD is an international Disability and Development organization that seeks a world in which people with disabilities in developing countries have a decent life, participate equally in society and have access to their rights. The main focus is on people with disabilities living in poverty, who are among the most excluded and disadvantaged groups in society. We place people with disabilities at the center of our development efforts, advancing the removal of barriers as well as for the other excluded groups creating change towards an inclusive society.
To strengthen our highly motivated and committed team, we are looking to recruit a Program Coordinator based in Pemba, Cabo Delgado:

Recruitment Description/ Key Accountabilities
Main Duties:
– Ensure quality implementation of humanitarian programs in Cabo Delgado;
– Maintain good collaboration and cooperation with local implementing partners;
– Maintain close collaboration with local government authorities
– Maintain a strong liaison with humanitarian actors, mainly with the leaders of the working groups in the context of the humanitarian response to improve the inclusion and visibility of people with disabilities;
– Actively participate in the coordination meetings of the humanitarian response;
– Support technically the Disability Working Group (DWG) of Cabo Delgado;
– Manage the team of Disability Inclusion Facilitators for their effectiveness in the delivery of their services for the inclusion of People with Disabilities in the initiatives give development.
Requirements:
– Higher education in Management, Political and Social Sciences, Economics and Management or related field.
– Minimum 5 years proven work experience in emergency or humanitarian program management;
– Ability to collect, analyse and synthesize qualitative and quantitative information;
– Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills;
– Ability to work under pressure to meet short-term targets
– Experience in working in NGOs is an advantage
– Mozambican nationality
– Mastery of the English language (spoken and written) is an advantage
